Investigation of air transportation technology at Ohio University, 1982Refinement of the Loran-C receiver system for general aviation use was described. The capability to provide area navigation sometimes called random navigation (RNAV) was accomplished by providing new software. Microcomputers were used to accomplish the calculations which were performed in flight to demonstrate these devices are cost effective in the implementation of Loran-C navigational information.
