Calcium Ions, Stores, and Modulators: What Is the Gravity Receptor Connection?The effect of weightlessness on gravireceptors is considered in an effort to shed light on the etiology of space motion sickness. The structures of the gravireceptors (crystals and neuroepithelium) are examined to determine the role piezoelectricity plays.
