Ceramic Coatings for Engine PartsIn manufacturing concept, dense, nonporous ceramic coatings applied to metal parts by plasma spraying. Coatings improve resistance of parts to corrosion and erosion in turbines and other engines. Plasma spraying faster and cheaper than previously used method, vapor deposition, and used on large parts as well as small ones.
