Point Simulator for Synthetic-Aperture RadarReflection from point target imitated electronically. SAR simulator produces amplitude- and phase-modulated 60-MHz signal that resembles SAR return of point scatterer. Designed to test integrated optical SAR receivers, simulator applies phase modulation necessary to turn radio-frequency pulse train into electronic equivalent of unfocused radar image of target.
