DFVLR rotorcraft: Construction and engineeringA helicopter rotor test stand is described. Full scale helicopter components can be tested such as hingeless fiberglass rotors and two blade rotor with flapping hinge, or a hybrid system. The facility is used to test stability, rotor components and downwind components.
