The Origin and Evolution of Uranus and NeptuneThe present state of understanding of the origin and evolution of the planets Uranus and Neptune is briefly reviewed. Emphasis is placed on the need for improved physical and composition data on both planets, particularly those data needed to resolve certain major inconsistencies in the present data set.
