Advanced OTV engines and issuesThe propulsion system requirements of orbit transfer vehicles (OTV). A baseline expander cycle engine which will meet those requirements was defined. The principal characteristics of a baseline engine and some options which are available to accommodate OTV system optimization studies was discussed. Engine program issues which are dependent on the mission scenario and the vehicle system configuration are shown. The rationale for a new cryogenic OTV engine is summarized.
