SimulationThe application of flight simulation in regional airline training programs is discussed. Specifically, the use of simulation in cockpit resources management training (CRMT) is investigated. The availability of simulation resources is explored and the simulator disadvantages and advantages are cited. Problems with simulator specification, procurement, validation and use that have plagued the major air carriers over several decades are addressed.
