Criteria for scaling heat exchangers to miniature sizeThe purpose of this work is to highlight the particular aspects of miniature heat exchangers performance and to determine an appropriate design approach. A thermodynamic analysis is performed to express the generated entropy as a function of material and geometric characteristics of the heat exchangers. This expression is then used to size miniature heat exchangers.
