Apollo 15 mare basalts: A diverse suite or two distinct groups?The literature geochemical data for 60 Apollo 15 mare basalts were compiled in order to evaluate possible intra-group relationships of the Apollo 15 mare basalts. The effects of olivine or pigeonite fractionation were discussed. Models were developed to explain the trace element characteristics of the samples.
