The Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) hardware flight performanceAn overview of the cryogenic system design for IRAS (Infrared Astronomical Satellite) is presented along with the hardware flight performance. Specific flight performance parameters such as optics temperatures, initial stabilization times, and optics and cryogen system temperature profiles after depletion of the superfluid helium are highlighted.
