Low speed rotary aerodynamics of F-18 configuration for 0 deg to 90 deg angle of attack: Test results and analysisAerodynamic characteristics obtained in a rotational flow environment, utilizing a rotary balance located in the Langley Spin Tunnel, are discussed and presented in tabular form for a 1/10 scale F-18 airplane model. The rotational aerodynamic characteristics were established for the basic airplane, as well as the influence of control deflections and the contribution of airplane components, i.e., body, wing, leading edge extension, horizontal and vertical tails, on these characteristics up to 90 deg angle of attack. Spin equilibrium conditions predicted using the measured data are also presented and compared with spin model and full scale flight results.
