Display management subsystem, version 1: A user's eye viewThe structure and application functions of the Display Management Subsystem (DMS) are described. The DMS, a subsystem of the Transportable Applications Executive (TAE), was designed to provide a device-independent interface for an image processing and display environment. The system is callable by C and FORTRAN applications, portable to accommodate different image analysis terminals, and easily expandable to meet local needs. Generic applications are also available for performing many image processing tasks.
