Spacelab 2 - Science in orbitThe success of Spacelab 2 is examined critically. Particular attention is given to the solar telescopes which were mounted on the instrument pointing system; these were designed to study solar irradiance, coronal helium, and exploding granules. Plasma experiments and the cosmic ray experiment (the 'Chicago Egg') are also described.
