Determining Spacecraft Attitude For Planetary MappingNew algorithm calculates attitude with accuracy to spare. Report describes algorithm for use in determining attitude of spacecraft from incremental-angle output of strapdown gyroscope and star-scanner measurements. Highlights detail of underlying theories and strategies. Presents results of simulation to demonstrate capability of algorithm, and discusses possible applications.
