Linear-Alignment Testing GripsLateral movements of grips are eliminated for thin speciments. Design integrates linear bearings with close-tolerance matching rods into gripping chain. Rods fixed into load-measurement grip, load-applicator grip slides along them. Rods do not interfere with force being applied but prevent lateral motion of one grip relative to other.
