NASA's Earth Science Geostationary PlatformThis paper describes the features of the NASA Earth Science Geostationary Platform (ESGP) scheduled for launch in 1998, discusses the objectives of the ESGP's steering committee, and presents a summary status report on the committee's activity. Special attention is given to the elements of the ESGP concept and requirements and to the ESGP program schedule options. A diagram of the ESGP concept is included.
