A prediction for Neptune's exospheric temperatureThe temperature of Neptune's exosphere is predicted, using Voyager observations of the exospheric temperatures of the outer planets. The exospheric temperature at Neptune is estimated at about 200 K, compared with about 800 K at Uranus. The implictions of this work for the existence of a Neptune electroglow are discussed.
