Laser transmitter module for NASA lidar in space technology experiment (LITE)NASA's lidar in Space Technology Experiment (LITE) is a multimission Space Transportation System (STS) program to evaluate the capability of a lidar experiment to measure aerosols and other atmospheric parameters from a space platform. The measurements will be made at three wavelengths (1.06, 0.532 and 0.355 microns). This paper presents the results to date of the program to produce the space-qualified laser transmitter module (LTM) for this mission.
