Annular-Bragg-Grating Surface-Emitting LaserProposed semiconductor laser emits radiation perpendicularly to its broad surface by use of annular Bragg grating as output coupler. Produces narrow output beam. Advantages include lower threshold current, smaller size, and increased efficiency.
