Using a numerical cumulus ensemble model as a tool for studying cloud processesA numerical cumulus ensemble model is presented, which covers a large area, and resolves individual cumulus clouds. The clouds produced by the model simulation are illustrated. Scatter plots of cloud amount vs relative humidity are examined. Plans for a cumulus ensemble model study on the effects of boundary layer processes on cloud formation are discussed.
