Using Multiple Grids To Compute FlowsPaper discusses decomposition of global grids into multiple patched and/or overlaid local grids in computations of fluid flow. Such "domain decomposition" particularly useful in computation of flows about complicated bodies moving relative to each other; for example, flows associated with rotors and stators in turbomachinery and rotors and fuselages in helicopters.
