Exercise issues related to the neuromuscular function and adaptation to microgravityExplored here is the question of whether astronauts can perform extravehicular activities effectively, efficiently, and productively. The loss of muscle mass, movement control, central nervous system function, muscle atrophy and fatigue, all consequent to weightlessness exposure, are discussed. The author recommends more research in these areas.
