Sensitivity analysis of a wing aeroelastic responseThe present shape-sensitivity analysis of wing aeroelastic response proceeds from aeroelastic response sensitivities obtained on the basis of the aerodynamic performance valid for high aspect ratio wings in subsonic, subcritical flow. Attention is given to the shape sensitivity of various static aeroelastic responses; the formulation is general, and assumes that, for a given shape and elastic deformation, the aerodynamic analysis will furnish the distribution of the pressure and the pressure sensitivity derivatives with respect to the shape parameters of interest. Wing displacements are obtained by means of an iterative scheme.
