Structure-borne noise transmission through rolling element bearingsNumerical modeling techniques for the transmission of vibration through ball or roller bearings are developed analytically and applied to several test problems. The method is based on a novel formulation of the bearing stiffness matrix, which is outlined. Numerical results for sample problems are presented graphically, and good agreement with experimental data is demonstrated.
