Regenerator performance with sinusoidal flowThe ineffectiveness of regenerators with sinusoidal laminar flow through parallel plate, screen, and packed sphere matrices is evaluated in the limit of infinite matrix heat capacity. Increases in ineffectiveness of up to 23 percent over the constant flow values result for parallel plate regenerators.
