Nonequilibrium Effects In Hypervelocity FlowReport presents theoretical analysis of chemical and thermal nonequilibrium phenomena in stagnation region of blunt body traveling through sparse atmosphere at many times speed of sound. Analysis employs continuum-theory approach and based on viscous-layer and incipient-merged-layer regimes of rarefied flow.
