Accuracy Of The Correlated-k MethodReport discusses accuracy of correlated-k method of calculating spectral radiances of vertically nonhomogeneous atmospheres. Presents brief description of method. Discusses some theoretical considerations, showing method correct when applied to weak spectral lines, strong pressure-broadened spectral lines, spectral lines affected by Doppler shifts at constant temperatures, and overlapping spectral bands.
