Use of rigorous vector coupled-wave theory for designing and tolerancing surface-relief diffractive components for magneto-optical headsA rigorous coupled wave model is presented, experimentally validated, and used for tolerancing surface relief diffractive elements. Applications of the model in the design and tolerancing of components for magneto optical (M-O) data storage heads are investigated.
