Simulation studies for surfaces and materials strengthInvestigations were carried out in two major areas during the last reporting period. Energy- and structure-related properties of small gold clusters deposited on the GaAs(110) surface were investigated using a molecular dynamics procedure. Additionally, a comparative study of the many-body potentials of silicon systems was performed.
