Component performance requirementsComponent data are essential for modelling the overall performance of gas turbines. The component characteristics are not easily obtained, and much of the data are proprietary and not available in the open literature. Several methods are available for estimating component characteristics and are briefly described. The requirements of users and manufacturers are quite different, but both can produce fully credible performance models.
