Liquid drop behavior in dense and dilute clustersIt is argued that models of droplet clusters must be flexible enough to accommodate both dilute and dense configurations, and cluster drop number density influences many of the crucial aspects of combustion. Current models of drop interactions are described, and it is shown that they have limitations that prevent their being used as subgrid models. An approach for modeling drop interactions which has the potential for use as a subgrid model is presented.
