The Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS)The mission and instruments of the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) are discussed. The individual experiments that will measure energy input to the atmosphere, temperature and important trace chemical species, and winds are individually described. The ground system, correlative measurements, data analysis, and theoretical studies are addressed.
