VLA-Phoenix observations of a narrow-band decimetric burstA discussion is conducted regarding observations of a highly-circularly polarized multiply-impulsive microwave burst detected by the Very Large Array and the Phoenix Digital Radio Spectrometer. The VLA was used to resolve the burst in two dimensions, while Phoenix provided high-time-resolution information about its spectral properties. During part of the burst, positive frequency drifts were detected, suggesting inwardly propagating beams of electrons emitting type-III-like radiation.
