Spaceflight training issues - Shuttle versus StationA comparative study is made of the training practices used for Space Shuttle crews and those projected for the NASA Space Station Freedom, with a view to the relative advantages anticipated for these methods in the fields of long-duration flights, on-orbit construction techniques, on-orbit maintenance requirements, medical expertise, and remote manipulator operations. A Training Operations Subpanel has been established by NASA for the coordination of training method developments across the various elements and phases of the program.
