Theory Of Damping In Composite LaminatesIntegrated mathematical model predicts vibration-damping properties of laminated fiber/matrix composite material from micromechanical level to laminate level. Model accounts simultaneously for wider, more realistic variety of laminate configurations and physical phenomena, including asymmetrically oriented plies, anisotropic fiber damping properties, hygral and thermal effects, and coupling among hygral, thermal, and mechanical effects.
