Finite element structural analysis and optimization of space frames and trusses in a massively parallel environmentA set of massively parallel computational procedures are formulated to make finite element method based space frame and truss structural response analyses and stochastic method based structural optimization solution superefficient. Several example frame structural analysis and truss optimization problems are presented for demonstration purposes. All calculations are made on the massively parallel environment of CM-2 computer.
