Waverider design for generalized shock geometriesA new design method for waverider configurations with generalized shock geometries is presented. A cross-stream Euler marching procedure is used to define the post-shock flow field, and an arbitrary 3D shock shape is specified as an input. This approach makes it possible to use nonaxisymmetric shock topologies with nonconstant shock strengths. The problem is reformulated in the proper curvilinear coordinate system to suppress its fundamental ill-posedness.
