Cryogenic wind tunnelsSome of the major problems in wind tunnel research and testing are reviewed and solutions are suggested. Support interference, wall interference, flow unsteadiness, and low Reynolds number are all discussed. The evolution of cryogenic wind tunnels, principles of operation, and testing capabilities are reviewed. Several test facilities are described and the use of cryogenic wind tunnels to increase test Reynolds number is suggested.
