Shaping Transmitted Pulses To Provide Synchronizing SignalsReport presents theoretical analysis of relationships among: shapes and bandwidths of data pulses in pulse-amplitude modulation (PAM) and quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM); pulse-repetition rates (baud rates); and presence or absence of sinusoidal baud-frequency components in envelopes (magnitudes) of overall received signals.
