Self-Locking Spreading PliersTool is modified pair of commercial self-locking pliers. Jaws of modified pliers face outward instead of inward. Applies force opposite to that of conventional pliers. Used to force surfaces apart and hold them at fixed separation or to grip a tube from inside.
