SAR sensor electronics: T/R modules

A discussion concerning the architecture of transmit/receive (T/R) modules in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems is presented. Module requirements are discussed in the context of the following: requirements traceability; antenna configuration; and typical module specifications/requirements. Finally, module technology development in the L-, C-, and X-bands is discussed.
