Results of GEAE HSCT propulsion system studiesA very brief overview of the results of GE's High Speed Civil Transport (HSCT) propulsion system design studies is presented. Our plans for the remainder of this year are covered. Focus is on the acoustic nozzle design and its impact on the propulsion system performance. Our studies have shown that this component is a key driver on the HSCT propulsion and aircraft system designs. Cruise Cfg, acoustic performance, nozzle weight, and takeoff Cfg are all critical nozzle design features.
