Control structure interaction/optimized designThe objective of this study is to apply the integrated design methodology to the mature GOES-1 spacecraft design, and to assess the possible advantages to be gained using this approach over the conventional sequential design approach used for the current design. In the process, the development of this technology into a tool that can be utilized for future near-term spacecraft designs is emphasized.
