Low-energy pneumatic control of forebody vorticesThis research will be exploring the prospect of employing bluntness, known to suppress the tendency toward asymmetry on slender forebodies, jointly with pneumatic manipulation as a system of forebody asymmetry control. The influences of jet location and direction, blowing rate, relative noise bluntness, angle of attack, and state of flow separation feeding the vortices (laminar vs. turbulent) will be evaluated.
