Moored rainfall measurements during COAREThis presentation discusses mini-ORG rainfall estimates collected from an array of six moornings in the western equatorial Pacific during the TOGA-COARE experiment. The moorings were clustered in the vicinity of the COARE intensive flux array (IFA) centered near 2 deg S, 156 deg E. The basic data set consisted of hourly means computed from 5-second samples.
