Trimethoxymethane: A Fuel For Direct-Oxidation Fuel CellsTrimethoxymethane (TMM) identified as high-energy fuel for direct-oxidation fuel cells. Synthesized from natural gas (methane) and handled easily because non-toxic, low-vapor-pressure liquid. Data obtained from both half-cell and full-cell tests indicate that TMM oxidized at very high rates. Considered excellent candidate for use in direct-oxidation fuel cells in vehicles and portable power supplies
