Tracing the streamer belt through the interplanetary mediumStorms of mildly energetic electrons, continuously ejected from solar active regions produce long lasting radio emissions which can be traced over periods of days as the Sun rotates. They are the radio trace large scale regions expanding through interplanetary space and closely associated with helmet streamer structures. They are a common phenomena during the period of solar maximum. The solar wind velocity in these structures can be obtained up to about 0.5 Astronomical Unit. they are almost always associated with slow solar wind. We review and discuss observations of ISEE-3 in the context of our present knowledge of the solar wind structure.
