Implications of the Effects of Surface Temperature and Imperfections on Supersonic OperationsThe effects of surface temperature and imperfections on the drag of the supersonic transport are discussed. The relationships among surface temperature, emissivity, and skin friction are reviewed and the importance of manufacturing and maintenance imperfections is indicated.
