Flutter Analysis of the X-33Flutter analysis performed in support of the X33 Advanced Technology Demonstrator is described. Analysis was conducted over a range of flow regimes using several different analysis codes. The finite element and aerodynamic models used in the analysis have undergone several years of development and refinement resulting in a high degree of model detail. The flutter analysis focuses on the area of three critical points within the vehicle's design trajectory at which full sets of external loads have previously been developed. A comparison between several different aerodynamic models is also made for the selected trajectory points.
